An east-coast transplant, owner Dan Tracy turned to dog walking after growing tired of the corporate world and years later he still loves his job. Dan built a successful dog walking and pet care business in Baltimore, MD prior to relocating to Los Angeles with his wife. They chose downtown Los Angeles for its vibrancy, walkability and general dog friendly atmosphere.
When not caring for Dog Day LA’s furry friends, Dan is a huge sports fan and loves being outside, exploring Los Angeles and trying new restaurants. He lives in DTLA with his wife Karin, his cat Lucy, his pugs Chuck and Edgar and Roxy the Great Dane.
Marissa de la Torre
Co-owner Marissa is a pet photographer based in Downtown Los Angeles who has been active in the humane treatment of animals for more than six years. She has committed the rest of her life to continue helping furry creatures find the loving homes they deserve through the power of photography.
She loves Ella Fitzgerald, bread, beer, and is suspect of humans who don’t like dogs, or the artist Prince. Marissa grew up in the Bay Area, but now calls DTLA her home. You will often find her roaming the city streets, taking pictures of mammals, or eating tacos. Of course, not necessarily in that order.
